Two-Parter... Kinda.

Hey all, I'm afraid I made a mistake. When I said in an earlier post that the current Press Start: Bonus Levels miniseries wouldn't have episodes that end in "To Be Continued," I somehow forgot that this one did. However, despite "Endgame" being made up of two parts, both are still essentially stand-alone – so no, Lin-Ku is not dangling from a precipice at the end of part one. In fact, he's not even in it.

Watch "Endgame, Part 1" here.

In other news, I wanted to unveil the all-new production logo for Dark Maze Studios, in snazzy 3-D. You may have seen a shortened version of it in the fake commercial for the Press Start dolls, but here's the full animation. Take a look:

Vox Imperium

Hey gang! While we're doing the editing thing, I wanted to bring something to your attention that you might enjoy.

Bill Renner, besides being our resident Flash consultant for the Press Start: Bonus Levels cartoons (read: "Bill, help! It's broken!"), is also an online game maker. And he's just finished his latest project: an online empire simulation game called Vox Imperium.

"Vox," he explains, "is best described as an online, multiplayer version of Civilization. Players build up huge empires from humble beginnings, then use their wit and might against their hostile neighbors. Standard games last two weeks, while quick games almost play like Starcraft and are over in a matter of hours."

Vox is free to play and completely browser based, so there are no downloads or plugins.

You can check it out at VoxImperium.com. Have fun!

Release Date!!

Brace yourself, it's a little while off.

Okay, no more beating around the bush. Here's the word. "Press Start" will be released on DVD on September 25, 2007.

The DVD will contain not only the movie, but as many special features as we can cram in.

We know it's a heck of a wait. Post-production is a regrettably slow process, but we're getting there! In the meantime, we've got a couple more episodes of the current Press Start: Bonus Levels miniseries to go, and some other stuff in the works for after that. So keep checking in – there'll be more to see.

We still have a lot to do, so time to get back to it!
